Originally from Hawkes Bay, Alisa came to Russell in 1974 looking for a change of pace after five years of clothing design in London.
Embracing the Russell lifestyle, she became a skipper for Fullers in 1978. After having traveled extensively, Alisa finds the Russell ‘village’ a large family community that is special and unique.
Currently an executive board member of the Bay of Islands Swordfish Club, she has also served with the Russell Ratepayers Association.
Alisa is keen to see Russell Museum continue to prosper and reflect the community with a special interest in catering for children. She credits her increased awareness of the treasures Russell has and the need to nurture, protect and promote them as being her motivation for her trusteeship.
Her interests are reading, clothing design and golf.
