Elected to the Trust Board since 2013 Libby is the current Deputy Chairperson. Libby’s schooling took place in Auckland then to Business College and onto her first job with a Share Broking firm, various clerical positions followed. Marriage, to Bob, took them round New Zealand, family life evolved, and children’s team sport. She still found plenty of time for her own sporting interests, tennis, swimming and netball. Eldon Jackson

Eldon has been on the Trust Board since 1999. After 20 years of being involved in a building company in partnership with an old school chum in Auckland, Eldon and his wife, Gilly, moved to Russell for an easier lifestyle. The beauty, history and ease of boating attracted them to Russell and they soon settled in. Eldon continued with his building activities until retiring 3 years ago. Barrie Bell

Barrie Bell

Elected to the Trust Board in 2010. Born in Hawera Barrie spent his boyhood in Waitara and Manaia where his father was a Post Master. A teacher, Barrie has taught in New Zealand and Australia, where he was a senior lecturer at The Victoria University of Technology, in the field of education and the sciences. Barrie moved to Russell in 2003 and contributes to the Russell community as a volunteer for the Bay of Islands Marine Radio Assn (Russell Radio). He is also a member of the house committee of the Bay of Islands Swordfish Club, Russell.
